CEIAG Intent

At Wellfield Academy our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme aims to empower every student with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to make informed and ambitious decisions about their future.
We are committed to delivering a high-quality, inclusive careers programme that:
•Raises aspirations and broadens horizons.
•Equips students with the skills to navigate an evolving labour market.
•Keeps them informed about labour market information.
•Provides access to impartial advice, meaningful employer encounters, and real-world experiences.
•Supports all learners in making well-informed, realistic decisions about education, training, and employment.


Our intent is to ensure that all students leave Wellfield Academy with a clear sense of purpose, a strong understanding of their strengths and pathways, and the tools needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world.


CEIAG Delivery


The CEIAG offer at Wellfield Academy is guided by the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks

Careers content is delivered through explicit teaching in PSHCE lessons as outlined below. There is also a wide range of careers opportunities, events, assemblies, drop ins etc. for all students throughout the academic year. We will keep parents updated about these.

CEIAG Staff

We have a whole school approach to careers with all staff supporting the delivery of CEIAG. In addition, we have designated CEIAG team who lead, co-ordinate and monitor the quality and delivery of our careers programme.
